30 Ways to Care for Someone Who is Grieving

Knowing what to do for somone who has lost a loved one is very difficult. Here is a list of things that you could do to show then that you care and want to help.

  1. Listen
  2. Call ‘just because’
  3. Send a card
  4. Be patient
  5. Listen
  6. Walk together
  7. Remember special days
  8. Dust, vacuum, and sweep
  9. Wash the car
  10. Sit silently, if that’s what is needed
  11. Listen

  13. Babysit
  14. Bring in a meal
  15. Have no expectations

    I love how you have “listen” seven times and “Sit silently, if that’s what is needed” for good measure. These are simple to do for anyone but they can actually make a difference.

    I like to sit silently most of the time that helps to let her know that your there for her. Grieving could be a long process for the one’s grieving to recover.
