Interim HealthCare is proud to announce the publication of Fullness of Joy: One Hundred Devotions to Bring You Into God’s Presence, a heartfelt collection of devotionals authored by Elizabeth “Libby” Rice Handford. This remarkable compilation reflects Libby’s profound impact on Interim HealthCare’s mission of enriching lives through compassionate care.

For over 18 years, Libby has been a guiding light within the Interim HealthCare agency. Through her unparalleled dedication, she has authored over 1,000 devotionals, offering weekly inspiration to the staff. Her writings, rooted in a deep faith, have encouraged countless caregivers to seek God in everyday moments, embodying Interim’s mission to honor God through the enrichment of human life.

Libby’s spiritual leadership is deeply tied to her heritage. As the daughter of Dr. John R. Rice, a renowned Baptist evangelist and founder of The Sword of the Lord, she continues a family legacy of ministry and devotion. Dr. Rice’s influential work in Christian fundamentalism, paired with his role as a prolific author and evangelist, left an indelible mark on the faith community. Libby’s life of service alongside her late husband, Walt Handford, during his 31-year pastorate at Southside Baptist Church (now Fellowship Greenville) in Greenville, South Carolina, further exemplifies her lifelong commitment to faith and ministry.

Fullness of Joy features 100 of Libby’s devotionals, carefully selected to guide readers on a meaningful journey into God’s presence. This book is a testament to her legacy of encouragement, wisdom, and faithfulness. All proceeds from book sales will benefit Interim HealthCare’s Employee Assistance Fund (EAF), which provides critical support to healthcare heroes in times of need.

“Libby’s devotionals have inspired and uplifted our team for years, helping us stay rooted in our mission,” said Beth Landry, CEO of Interim HealthCare. “With Fullness of Joy, we are thrilled to share her gift with a wider audience while supporting the dedicated employees who make our care possible.”

The release of Fullness of Joy underscores Interim HealthCare’s commitment to honoring the spiritual and emotional well-being of its community. By purchasing the book, supporters not only deepen their spiritual journey but also contribute to the vital mission of uplifting those who serve others with compassion. Fullness of Joy is now available through Amazon and other major booksellers.

Interim HealthCare has delivered high-quality, in-home healthcare to South Carolina since 1979 with the mission of “honoring God through the enrichment of human life.”
