Being a Funeral Director

Careers come and go and may change from time to time; but when your job is your passion it becomes your life and ministry.  Karen considers her career as a funeral director her ministry.  Her genuine concern and care for those she serves brings meaning and fulfillment to her.  She began her career in the funeral industry in 1987 in Raleigh, NC and five years ago relocated to the Charlotte area.  She earned her Associates Degree in Funeral Education at Fayetteville Technical College.  After becoming a licensed funeral director in NC she served in many capacities in the funeral industry including helping others with pre-arranged funerals and compassionately serving families at the time of need as a funeral director.  She is proud to serve with the Dignity Memorial team as a Location Manager for the Carothers Funeral Homes in Gastonia, Dallas and Stanley.
